Subway bombing kills nine people in Russia:

  • Nine people are dead and another forty injured after a subway bombing in St. Petersburg, Russia. The blast Monday afternoon hit the train as it traveled between stations. Within two hours of the blast, Russian authorities diffused a second bomb at another nearby station. Investigators are looking into whether the explosion on the train was a terror attack.

Petition calls for resignation of Temple Student Government President:

  • A petition is circulating online asking for the resignation of Temple Student Government President Aron Cowen. The petition released by an anonymous Twitter handle condemns Cowen for an abuse of power, citing his unannounced appearance at a Parliament meeting. Sustainability Week on campus:

  • Monday is kicking off Sustainability Week on Temple’s campus. The week annually raises awareness about the importance of sustainable and responsible practices for discarding material. Students were able to bring paper material to a ProShed truck where the materials were safely disposed.
