Orlando, Fl.- The Owls (14-7, 5-3) went down to Florida to face UCF (9-11,2-7) in vacation type temperatures, but the Owls were all business.

They jumped out to a fast 15-8 lead in the first ten minutes, with Jesse Morgan leading the way early with a quick nine points.

The Knights managed to cut their deficit down to three, but Temple pulled away with a 10-2 run with just under ten minutes remaining in the first half.

The Owls finished out the half with a 10-0 run, and an 19 point lead at halftime for the second consecutive game.

The Owls came out of the locker room firing in the second half as they went on a 11-3 run to balloon their lead to 27 points.

Temple wouldn’t stop there though, as they continued the onslaught and brought the lead to 34 points with just under three minutes left.

The Owls had six players score nine or more points- Cummings, Morgan, Coleman, DeCosey, Watson and Enechionyia. The Owls doubled UCF’s points in the point, 44-22. The Owls shot 50% from the field and 56% from three point range.

Temple resumes action on Saturday at home, against Tulane.
