College of Science and Technology’s Celebrates 20th Anniversary

Nobel Laureate William Daniel Phillips demonstrated science experiments to local schoolchildren in celebration for Temple University’s College of Science and Technology. The school celebrated 20 years at Temple November 1st.

The university invited more than 100 Philadelphia school children to attend the celebration. Attendees  from Central High School, New Foundations High School, and more gathered at Temple’s Science and Research Center to witness Doctor Phillips demonstrate various science experiments. The Wilkes Barre native used dry ice, liquid nitrogen, and packaging peanuts to create interactive demonstrations that showcased Einstein’s scientific concepts.

Other guests at the event included President of Temple University, Richard Englert, Provost of Temple University, JoAnne Epps, and Dean of the College of Science and Technology, Michael L. Klein.
