Do the Time Warp Again at “Rocky Horror”

rhps1A week after Fox’s critically acclaimed version of the cult classic airs live, Temple will put on its very own production of The Rocky Horror Picture Show! Come see a screening of the movie with a performance by a full shadow cast. The event, sponsored by Temple’s Queer Student Union, will be held at the student center starting October 27. This is definitely an event you do not want to miss!

Rocky Horror tells the story of newly engaged couple, Brad and Janet, who end up lost one night in the rain. They find themselves at the castle of the enticing Dr. Frank-N-Furter, a transvestite who is holding the annual convention of visitors from the planet Transsexual. Full of catchy, iconic songs, classic dances, and an alluring plot, Rocky Horror is the perfect show to get you in the Halloween spirit. Raunchy, weird, and wonderful, the film quickly garnered a cult following, and this Temple screening has been a spooky tradition for several years now.

The screening will be held at The Reel from October 27-29 at varying times. Tickets, $2 with a TUID and $4 without, can be purchased at The Reel Box Office. Prop bags will also be on sale for $3. Costumes are encouraged, and make sure to be there early to be involved in pre-screening activities!
