‘Philly Connections’ Bridges Students and City

Temple University students are taking advantage of the various events throughout Philadelphia thanks to the Student Activities Center program, “Philly Connections.” This University exclusive offer provides discounted tickets to students for the zoo, aquarium, theater, sporting events, and other activities.

Director of Student Activities, Chris Carey noted, ”Philadelphia has so much to offer and these special tickets give students a chance to explore the city without going broke.”

The tickets are ten dollars and students can purchase up to two tickets for each featured event. The box office is located in the basement of the Howard Gittis Student Center and is open Wednesday through Friday from 12pm until 6 pm.

The tickets do have a history of selling out, so it is crucial to get to the box office as soon as it opens. Featured events such as Flyers games and Terror Behind the Walls at Eastern State Penitentiary tend to sell out within the first ten minutes of sales.

For more information and the full calendar of discounted tickets check out the student activities website.
