Kaicey Baylor is sophomore Journalism major and Spanish minor at Temple University. She has been volunteering with Update Now and Update Ahora during her first year and has served as the producer for Update Ahora and is a producer for TUTV’s entertainment talk show, Temple Talk. She interned at the Wake Up With WURD Show with Solomon Jones at 900 am WURD to gain experience in radio production along with television production. Kaicey is a devoted member of the BeyHive, constantly blasting one of Beyoncé’s platinum records around campus.
Vince Coll is a sophomore journalism major in his second year with Temple Update. Last year, Vince anchored Update Now, Temple Update’s news brief. This semester, Vince is a sports anchor and lead football beat reporter for the 2016 season. Previously, he worked alongside Rocco DiSangro in pre and post game analysis coverage, including the Boca Raton Bowl in Boca Raton, FL and College Gameday at Independence Hall. In high school, he was the sports editor for his school newspaper “The Acorn,” and anchored the sports show host for school network (UD Update). Where did he get all of his sports knowledge? Vince was named to his all county team in football and baseball in high school.
Bri Hofsass is a sophomore journalism major who has been anchoring and reporting for the SportsDesk since first semester freshmen year. Some fun facts about Bri: she is addicted to exercise, an 80’s movie enthusiast, a Coca-Cola Memorabilia collector, and a proud Colombian.
Taggart Houck is a Journalism Major and Political Science Minor in his Senior year at Temple University. He is an Anchor and Reporter for Temple Update. Taggart has been involved with Temple Update dating back to the first semester of his freshman year and has also assistant produced Temple Update, produced Update Now and served as live shot technician. He reported on TUTV’s live coverage of both the 2016 Democratic National Convention and Pope Francis’ historic visit to Philadelphia. Taggart served as a Intern at NBC10/Telemundo 62 in Philadelphia last summer, the station he grew up watching. Before that, he worked as a part-time Reporter and weekend Anchor for WDEL News in Wilmington, Delaware. He dreams of someday working as a Reporter or Anchor in the Philadelphia market. He looks forward to bringing Temple University news that matters to them, on Temple’s news leader. When he isn’t in the studio, Taggart enjoys boating in the Chesapeake Bay with friends and family and training for the Philadelphia Marathon.
Alyssa Jerome is a senior media studies and production major set to graduate this 2017 Spring semester. She first received her associate’s Degree at Brookdale Community College in her home state of New Jersey, and transferred to Temple last fall. After having no previous production experience coming into to Temple, she is thankful for the opportunities and hands-on experience she’s gained. Alyssa started as an anchor for Update Now, was one of three weather anchors last Spring semester for Temple Update, and achieved one of her first goals set at Temple: become a main desk news anchor. This is her second semester as an anchor and has reported for the broadcast as well. The best event she has reported on in her college career thus far is the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia. She currently interns as a news intern at Fox 29. Besides a great passion for broadcast and entertaining people, Alyssa loves to travel. She is currently saving up to revisit the university she studied abroad at 2 years ago in Ormskirk, England.
Dan Ray is a Junior Media Studies and Production student with a minor Political Science. As the Sports Director, he coordinates and oversees all of Temple Update’s coverage of Temple Athletics, both on the air and on the web. Dan also reports and films for Temple Update. This summer, he was one of TUTV’s live reporters from the Democratic National Convention, covering stories at the Wells Fargo Center and around Philadelphia. This semester, Daniel is interning at Comcast SportsNet in their Digital Media department. He also works for TUTV and at the Temple Performing Arts Center. One of the only students not from the tri-state area, Dan was born and raised in Cumberland, Maine and is a graduate of Greely High School. Dan has been involved with TUTV since his freshman year, starting as volunteer and anchor for Update Now. As a native New Englander, Dan takes every opportunity to comment on Boston’s 9 combined championships in the past 15 years and that Tom Brady is the best quarterback of all time.
Danielle Sabulsky is a junior at Temple University studying Media Studies and Production, and minoring in Theater. Danielle is a weather anchor, assistant director, tape operator, and reporter for Temple Update. She is also a Junior Reporter with Fox29’s morning show, Good Day Philadelphia. During her freshman and sophomore years, she anchored and co-produced Temple Update Now. She also had an internship with Propulsion Media Labs this past summer where she assisted on video shoots, and ran all social media platforms for the company. Danielle is also a crew member for Temple Talk.
Kylie Winkler is a senior journalism major who has been working with Temple Update for four years. For her final semester of college, she is a Main Anchor and Reporter for the show. Kylie has previously reported for TUTV’s live coverage of the 2016 Democratic National Convention and has served as Sports and Weather anchor for Temple Update. She has also been a international correspondent during her semester abroad in London, England. In the past, Kylie has interned and has been a freelance reporter for Fox 29’s Good Day Philadelphia show. She is currently a news intern at NBC10 Philadelphia, working in the newsroom and out in the field. She hopes to one day be a Reporter and Anchor in the Philadelphia market or a correspondent abroad in Europe. When she’s not interning or working at Temple Update, Kylie enjoys traveling, exploring Philadelphia, and playing baseball with her siblings.
