The 128th Temple University Commencement Ceremony will be held on May 8th. With little over a week until the end of their college careers, Update’s Nicholas Cutrona spoke to some seniors about their post-graduation plans. The university-wide Commencement Ceremony is scheduled for 10 am on May 8th. It will be held in the Liacoras Center at 1776 N. Broad Street. Doors will open at 8am.

Breakfast With The Candidates

Supporters lined the sidewalks and the stage was set for breakfast with the candidates. KYW Newsradio Special Contributor Larry Kane moderated the debate between sitting Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett and the democratic challenger who hopes to unseat him Tom Wolf. The debate began with the topic of public education funding, which Corbett partly blames on the teachers unions.

Temple University Sets Precedent for Nationwide Admissions Requirements

Temple has become the first public research university in the Northeast to make SAT and ACT standardized test scores optional for admission. “At this point we feel that we need to ask other questions of these students,” says Senior Vice Provost of Enrollment Management, William Black. “Give them an opportunity to talk about their successes or their failures and what they’ve learned about it.”…
