Even though Philadelphia is big on public transportation, many people, especially college students, are now using the app Uber to get around the city. Uber is very popular among Temple students, mainly because they believe that the service provides safer nighttime transportation. However, recent incidents throughout the country are raising questions about how safe Uber really is.

PPD Releases Video of Carlisle Suspect

Police are investigating a sexual assault of a Temple student, which occurred in the early morning hours of Tuesday, September 29th. Police say an armed sexual assault of a female Temple student occurred at 12 a.m. on Tuesday on the 1400 block of Carlisle Street, which is located just south of Main Campus. Reports say that the student had left the library with a friend at around 11:15 p.m..

Campus Safety Services and Temple EMS impress in active-shooter scenario

Temple Police Officers, EMTs, and other safety officials trained for an unexpected emergency at Barton Hall Wednesday morning. Officials participated in an active-shooter scenario to which actors reenacted a shooting scene in Barton Hall. The shooter was played by a white male wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, cargo pants, and a black backpack enshrined with the Temple “T”.
