The research was organized by Temple University Trauma Surgeon Dr. Jessica Beard and Assistant Professor of Surgery and Trauma Surgeon Dr. Zoë Maher, and University of Pennsylvania Assistant Professor of Nursing Dr. Sara F. The Department of Public Health announced today an additional 147 cases of coronavirus in the city of Philadelphia. The total number of positive cases in the city is 32,057. Six deaths were also recorded, bringing the fatality rate to 1,715. Of the 1,715 total deaths, 864 were long-term care facility patients. The positivity rate is at 2% for the total number of tests performed for today’s data.

The City of Philadelphia’s Department of Public Health announced an additional 500 confirmed cases of coronavirus on Monday. This number counts for this previous Saturday and Sunday as well. The total number of confirmed cases in the city now totals 29,803. Two deaths were recorded this weekend, bringing the death toll to 1,678. Long-term care facility residents count for 51% of the death rate.
