# Center City Ice Rink Reopens for Season

The rink, located at [Dilworth Park](https://www.visitphilly.com/things-to-do/attractions/dilworth-park-at-city-hall/?gclid=CjwKCAiA8K7uBRBBEiwACOm4d8qfftpV_mzpUU7awCw3aea8U3DnNGbSaRffQHSTjiVHag8lnnDYlRoCKU8QAvD_BwE) in Center City, and is open 7 days a week until February 23rd. From Monday through Thursdays the rink is open between noon and 9 p.m, Fridays it's open noon to 11pm, Saturdays are 11 a.m to 11 p.m, and Sundays are 11 a.m to 8 p.m. The admission to the rink is $3 for children 10 years old and under. Admission for adults is $5, and skate rentals are $10. To keep its' customers interested in returning the ice rink holds many different events on a nightly basis. One event, [College Nights](https://centercityphila.org/parks/events/college-nights/college-nights-2019-11-14), is hosted every Thursday night and provides college students with an admission price of only $2 if they present their school ID. [Cocktails and Cold Ones](https://centercityphila.org/parks/dilworth-park/cocktails-and-cold-ones/cocktails-and-cold-ones-2019-11-20), which happens every Thursday night offers its' customers discounted bites. [Santa Express](https://centercityphila.org/parks/events/santa-express-2019-11-29) is an event that brings Santa Claus to the ice rink where he leads a parade alongside Mrs. Claus and his elves. [PJ Party with Santa](https://centercityphila.org/parks/events/holiday-pj-party-with-santa-2019-12-08) gives kids an opportunity to wear their PJs, eat breakfast and make arts and crafts before a special skate with Santa. [Center City Fit](https://centercityphila.org/parks/dilworth-park/center-city-fit/center-city-fit-2020-01-07) brings professional trainers from Optimal Sport Health Clubs for workouts every Tuesday afternoon. [Quizzo](https://centercityphila.org/parks/events/quizzo/quizzo-2020-01-07) is a trivia event where you can win prizes, it is located in the [Rothman Orthopaedics Cabin](https://centercityphila.org/parks/dilworth-park/winter/rothman-cabin) next to the rink. [Karaoke Night](https://centercityphila.org/parks/events/karaoke-nights/karaoke-nights-2020-01-10) is a weekly event presented by [The Met Philadelphia](https://themetphilly.com/info/) inside of the Cabin. [Superhero Skate](https://centercityphila.org/parks/events/superhero-skate-2020-01-18) is a special event for kids and parents who will meet different superheroes, skaters are encouraged to wear costumes. [Sweetheart Skate](https://centercityphila.org/parks/events/sweetheart-skate-2020-02-14) is a valentines day skate where you can sing karaoke along with specially priced beverages. For those new to skating, the rink offers a [learn to skate](https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeu-CViCUjzjPI-KQ575wPDO-loj_VWhX6ydwQoFznoPA1pLA/viewform) session from professional instructors. The lessons are once a week for 5 weeks, each session is 30 minutes long. In total the lessons cost $150, the dates are January 7th, 11th, 21st, 28th, and February 4th.
