London’s Winter Wonderland

London’s Winter Wonderland is back and spreading festive cheer for Londoners and tourists alike. The festival that started off as a small Christmas market is now a holiday landmark and organizers expect this to be the biggest year yet.

With roller coaster rides, food stalls and festive bars, thousands of people visit the attraction each year to celebrate the Christmas season. “I came all this way from Kuwait to here, just to see Winter Wonderland,” visitor Maria Mendis told Temple Update.  “I’m so excited really because here you can find everything in one place. You want food, you want drinks, you want games to play? Everything you can find it here.”

Located in the heart of Hyde Park, Winter Wonderland is a must-see attraction, and for some, like Victoria Rose, it’s a tradition: “So it’s something that we wait for every year for Christmas. It makes Christmas, you know? Because London is so beautiful with all the lights, but Hyde Park is the place to go in London for Christmas.”

The festival is complete with a Bavarian Village, where a taste of old Bavaria comes to Winter Wonderland. It’s the perfect place to unwind, with outdoor seating and even live music. Winter Wonderland opened November 23rd and remains open throughout the month of December.
