# Temple CIS Working on 3D Surveillance Camera

They cannot be adjusted or moved, and they can only provide basic still images of a scene, and often grainy ones at that.  The National Science Foundation is introducing another option. The NSF is offering Temple’s department of Computer Information and Sciences a grant to develop videos like this, the prototype for new 3D surveillance cameras. These cameras are still in the developmental stage, but the department hopes to have a prototype within a year.
