# Owls To Fight for the AAC Title

The Owls dominated in a 27-3 victory against the [University of Connecticut Huskies](https://www.uconnhuskies.com/sports/m-footbl/) on their home turf. While the team was excited to have won the [AAC East Champion title,](https://smcsites.com/update/temple-earns-spot-in-aac-championship-beats-uconn-27-3/) they're focused on putting their best foot forward. "You know, it's a hostile environment, but we've been through a lot of great experiences," said [Coach Matt Rhule.](https://twitter.com/CoachMattRhule) "I think our team is ready, I think we're playing our best football right now." The Owls believe staying true to their process will help them clinch a victory, so that's what they plan on doing. "It's just another game," said star senior Tyler Matakevich. "Except this time, after the game, you get a trophy."
