Student Arrested After Stabbing Classmate at North Philadelphia Public School

Police arrested a 13-year-old girl after she stabbed a 13-year-old male classmate at a public school in North Philadelphia.

Just before 11 AM Friday morning, the teen was stabbed in the abdomen with a pair of adult-sized scissors after an argument in science class.

Philadelphia Police and an ambulance were called to William Dick Public School at 24th and Diamond – just a few blocks from Temple University’s campus.

The teen was taken to Hahnemann Hospital and is in stable condition.

Many parents rushed to the school after hearing the news, in fear that their children might also be in danger.

The scene is now under control.
