COVID-19 cases in Philadelphia and the rest of Pennsylvania are increasing at an alarming rate. “The epidemic is approaching its worst,” City Health Commissioner Dr. Thomas Farley said Monday. In an effort to contain the virus, City officials announced new restrictions affecting businesses and indoor gatherings, Monday. Starting this Friday, indoor dining in the City is prohibited.

Businesses and Restaurants Enter the “Yellow” Phase

Southeastern Pennsylvania was given the “yellow” light June 5th to enter the second phase of Governor Tom Wolf’s three-phase reopening plan. This new phase lifts restrictions for restaurants and retail establishments, allowing for the opening of outdoor dining and in-store shopping. Big box retailers, like Boscov’s in Plymouth Meeting, opened their doors on Saturday.

First Annual Temple Entrepreneur Summit

What they usually don’t do is provide pitching assistance. That’s where the First Annual Temple Entrepreneur Summit came in on Monday, December 5th. The First Annual Summit started at 4 PM and concluded around 8 PM that evening.

Fox School Among Top 50 in the Nation

Temple’s Fox School of Business is known for its award winning programs and top rankings, and this year they’ve climbed even higher. Fox is now ranked among the top 50 business schools in the nation. U.S. News and World Report places Fox at number 48, a 13 spot jump from last year, and the school’s highest ranking yet. The new spot also puts the school in the top 10%

TV Show “Shark Tank” Looks for Business-Savvy Owls

The critically acclaimed TV show “Shark Tank” will pay Temple University a visit. Temple’s Fox School of Business released the information in a press release May 25. Entrepreneurial Temple Owls can pitch the team an idea on Saturday, June 11. Anyone with interest can sign up to meet the team from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. that Saturday. Shark Tank will return to ABC for it’s seventh season.
