The Philadelphia Department of Public Health has today announced an additional 141 confirmed cases on COVID-19. This brings the total number of cases in the city to 31,275. City Provides Update on Parkway Protest Camp

Philadelphia officials are giving those who have been camping on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway in protest of permanent housing until July 17 to leave. The camp, which has existed at 22nd St and the Benjamin Franklin Parkway since July 7, has grown to about 70-80 people sleeping outside in tents every night. Geno’s Steaks revealed on Monday a brand new, wide-eyed, 6-foot tall cheesesteak mascot appropriately named “Whizzy”. West Philadelphia Church Damaged in Church Fire

A fire at the Greater Bible Way Temple on the 1400 block of North 52nd Street is ongoing as firefighters battle to keep the blaze under control. One person was hospitalized after the fire started this afternoon, with the church structure starting to collapse since the fire began. Reports indicate that the church was undergoing repairs to its roof when the fire broke out.
