UPDATE: Ten people have died as a result of the Astroworld concert as of November 14. Hip-hop star Travis Scott’s latest Astroworld concert turned deadly last Friday, as thousands of concert goers scrambled to escape the Houston-based venue. Police say the crowd of more than 50,000 people surged center stage, injuring dozens of attendees. Tem people died, and dozens were hospitalized.

Temple Athletics use their facilities every day for games, practices, and training as every team but football is playing this spring. Liacouras holds Men’s basketball games and practices. Liacouras Center Admits first patient

Temple University’s Liacouras Center, which normally admits cheering fans of the cherry and white, began receiving its first patients today. The Liacouras Center was designated late last month as a “surge facility” to help alleviate local hospitals if and when those hospitals reached their bed capacities. The Liacouras Center is capable of holding up to 250 patients at a time.
