Temple women’s basketball won their 11th consecutive game Saturday afternoon against Memphis. This win improves the Owls record to 15-3 overall, and an undefeated 6-0 in conference play. Temple Edges Memphis in Five Set Nailbiter

It was another tightly contested match for the Owls Friday night at McGonigle as Temple went on to defeat the Memphis Tigers in 5 sets. The Owls were led by juniors Irem Asci and Izzy Rapacz; both scored a combined 35 kills, and also notched a combined 33 digs. Asci also managed to notch a pair of aces as well. Temple got off to a slow start in the first set, dropping the set 17-25.

Player Profile: Romond Deloatch

Tight end Romond Deloatch has been a playmaker on both sides of the football for the Owls this season. Last week against SMU, Deloatch narrowly missed scoring touchdowns on both offense, and defense, after he was ruled down at the one yard line following a 34 yard reception. The redshirt-senior is just two yards short of posting a career high in receiving yards heading into week six.

Dunphy Earns 500th Win, Owls Advance to Tourney Semis Against SMU

HARTFORD- Temple picked up a huge win today in the AAC Tournament Quarterfinal; an 80-75 win against Memphis, and Coach Fran Dunphy picked up win number 500. Temple also suffered a huge loss today when Junior big man Jaylen Bond left the game late in the first half with an apparent right ankle injury. When Temple took the court for warm-ups in the second half, Bond was nowhere to be found.
