美国移民局与特朗普政府取消了对留学生不能只上网课的规定

7月6日针对在美留学生的政策要求，并“恢复原状”。此听证会结果的宣布使数千名有被驱逐出境风险的国际留学生和正在努力根据此政策修改新学期计划的大学感到欣慰。根据此被取消政策之前的规定，今年秋季学期将禁止美国的国际学生完全注册线课程。计划新学期全部网上授课的学校不能向学生发放新的签证。已在美国境内的留学生如果不能保证注册至少有一节线下课程的话则需要转学到有面授课的学校或离开美国回到自己的国家上网课。该政策引起了高等教育机构以及留学生的强烈反对。许多大学表示，该政策将使学生的健康安全受到威胁，同时也将损害学校的经济收入。哈佛大学和麻省理工学院称，”移民官员在没有正当理由且不允许公众做出回应的情况下发布了该指南，从而违反了程序规则”。诉讼指出，特朗普的国家紧急状态声明尚未撤销，某些地区的病毒病例在增加。因此，该政策有悖于ICE 3月13日对于学校“在紧急情况期间”暂停线上教育条件限制的决定。对此，联邦官员表示，将通过允许学生即使在国外在线学习也保留学生签证来对此进行宽大处理。 View More » ]]>

Trump Administration Allows International Students to Stay

Eight federal lawsuits and opposition from hundreds of universities has led the Trump administration to rescind a rule that requires international students to take in-person classes, or be forced to leave the country. The decision was announced at the start of a hearing in a federal lawsuit in Boston brought by Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
