A 3-alarm fire broke out on 16th and Oxford Street at 8:43pm Monday evening. Students and residents were evacuated in the surrounding buildings in the block. Power was later cut to the surrounding blocks including The Edge and Beech International Residence Halls. Deputy Fire Commissioner Craig Murphy says the building was vacant and under construction.
