The second-seeded Temple Owls defeated the 10th-seeded Houston Cougars Saturday to move on in the American Conference tournament. Record Breaking Applications for Class of 2021

For the fourth year in a row, Temple University has broken the record for its number of applications. Almost 37,000 people applied to be part of the class of 2021. Last year’s record was 34,504 applications by the deadline of March 1st, while this year it was 36,840. Temple enrolls approximately 5,100 freshmen annually. President Richard M. Englert does not find the numbers surprising.
