View More » ]]>This month, Temple proudly renames The School of Medicine in honor of trustee, Lewis Katz. The University kicked off celebrations this week to recognize Katz’s legacy. A family expo held on Monday and a formal dedication ceremony and luncheon held earlier today honored the late trustee. President Theobald spoke at today’s ceremony and discussed Katz and his contributions to the University.

Katz was 72 years old. The Philadelphia Inquirer reports Katz was one of seven people on the plane when it crashed and burst into flames at about 9:40 pm Saturday.
