With COVID-19 cases surging, Montgomery County Board of Health has voted to move schools to all virtual learning for two weeks. Despite the disagreement from the angry parents, the board of health voted unanimously on Nov. 13 shifting all schools to 100% virtual learning between Nov. 23 and Dec. 6. Temple Announces Plans for Fall Semester

Earlier this month, President Englert sent an email to students, staff, and faculty and introduced the “Return Team.” This group is tasked with, “building out scenarios for what campus life could look like over the next several months,” according to the President’s email.

Temple University to Donate Backpacks to Local Schools

Temple University is giving back to the community by donating over 300 backpacks to a local elementary school in the area. Students at the North Philadelphia Paul L. Dunbar school will be gifted backpacks filled with school supplies along with handwritten notes by Temple students courtesy of Temple’s board of trustees. Temple will also donate 50 calculators to the school over the next months.

Shooting at UNCC Leaves Two Dead

A shooting at University of North Carolina at Charlotte has left two dead and 4 wounded after a perpetrator opened fire on the university yesterday, April 30th. The gunman entered a liberal arts classroom with a handgun shortly before opening fire on students in the class. 2019 Tyler MFA Thesis Exhibiton

The change to spring also means a change of space for Temple Contemporary, located at the Tyler School of Art. The ground floor of Tyler’s main building has been transformed into a gallery space for the 2019 MFA graduate thesis exhibition which runs through April 13th. The exhibition showcases a total of 26 students who display their work in groups of two to four that rotate each week.
