October is here, and so is the Philadelphia International Dragon Boat Race. Every year, the Schuylkill River is the race track for dozens of dragon boats as a part of a fundraiser for many of the city’s charity’s and organizations. With a scenic backdrop, hundreds gathered in tents to cheer on friends and family as they paddle down the river. October 6th marked the 17th year of the festival.

Temple Boathouse Opens Again After 8 Years

Philly Free Streets, Vea Fitness Team Up to Encourage Healthy Living

Saturday marks the kick off of the first ever Philly Free Streets event in Philadelphia. The Free Streets initiative was inspired by the car free weekend during Pope Francis’s visit last fall. Vea Fitness, a workout organization that provides rewards to users is taking advantage of the expected 10,000-20,000 participants in the hopes of promoting the launch of their new, updated app.
