The wintry mix and strong winds forced many trudging through campus to cling to streetlight poles to avoid being blown into the streets.

Main campus had roughly 3.5 inches on the ground as the snow tapered off in the late afternoon. Crews from both the City of Philadelphia and Temple University were out in full force clearing roads and walkways. Local meteorologists are predicting a rainy mixture of up to two more inches Tuesday evening.
