Less than three minutes into the game, SMU struck first with a goal from Emil Cuello to make the game 1-0. In the fourth minute, SMU was awarded a free kick off a Darri Sigthorsson yellow card.

Samnik, in High School, was a captain, MVP, and earned 2nd team All-Regional in his Senior year. He also was the first freshman to play on varsity in his High School’s history. Now, he has finally been able to show the Owls what he is made of.
