McGinty and Toomey to Debate at TPAC

It’s one of the most important races in the country right now and it’s coming to Temple’s campus next week. Democratic candidate for the Senate Katie McGinty, and Republican candidate Pat Toomey will go head to head in the second of two debates at Temple Performing Arts Center next Monday. Last week, Temple’s Center for the Performing Arts hosted a mayoral debate between candidates Melissa Murray Bailey (R) and Jim Kenney (D), but only a small number of students were in attendance of the event. Some students told Temple Update they feel they are not educated enough about the candidates to vote, and that there are actions that can be taken to correct this.
