2019 Tyler MFA Thesis Exhibiton

The change to spring also means a change of space for Temple Contemporary, located at the Tyler School of Art. The ground floor of Tyler’s main building has been transformed into a gallery space for the 2019 MFA graduate thesis exhibition which runs through April 13th. The exhibition showcases a total of 26 students who display their work in groups of two to four that rotate each week.

Tyler School of Art Appoints Dean

According to Temple University President Richard M. Englert, Susan E. Cahan has been appointed dean of Tyler School of Art, which will become effective on July 1. Cahan currently serves as associate dean for the arts at Yale College, Yale University’s undergraduate liberal arts college. She will follow Hester Stinnett, who has been Tyler’s interim dean since September of 2015.

Tyler Students ‘Craft ‘n Care’ for Philadelphia Children

The Tyler School of Art crafted gifts Tuesday to help children become strong readers and writers. Tyler’s annual holiday service project, Craft ‘n Care, partnered with Tree House Books, a local literacy center and library that provides literacy programs and free books to children in the local area. Tree House Books has a goal to help build a community of readers, writers, and thinkers.
