Tonight: People’s Poetry Audio Tour Kickoff Featuring Kai Davis

The Galleries at Moore continues their 2019 Faculty Triennial this evening with the People’s Poetry Audio Tour Kickoff, which features 2016 Temple alum and poet Kai Davis.

The audio tour includes selected poems from the various workshops Davis and fellow poet Perry “Vision” DiVirgilio conducted this past month with students from around Philadelphia. The free event kicks off at 6 PM at Moore College of Art & Design, located at 19 and Race St, and lasts until8 PM.

The event makes up just one of several programs for this year’s Faculty Triennial, which opened with an exhibition featuring 49 faculty members in late January, and runs through the first week of March.

Some of the other opportunities offered by the Faculty Triennial include a hands-on workshop and lecture about audio synthesizers with artist Jerry Kaba on February 27, as well as a talk with Derrick Pitts, the Franklin Institute’s chief astronomer on March 6.
