Donald Trump will be the 45th President of the United States.

The Republican candidate made his acceptance speech around 3 am Wednesday from New York, taking the stage alongside running mate Mike Pence, wife Melania, and his five children.

The President Elect said he spoke with Secretary Clinton prior to taking the stage, and congratulated his opponent on a congratulated her and her family on a “very, very hard-fought campaign.” He went on to thank those who have supported his campaign, saying that the next step is to unite the country. “The forgotten men and women of our country will be forgotten no longer,” said Trump.

Secretary Clinton gave her concession speech a little after 11:30 am Wednesday, after winning the popular vote, but losing the electoral vote. Trump beat out Clinton 276 to 228 in the electoral college votes, capturing the swing states of Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Florida among others.

Clinton admitted her disappointment, but said this election was never about one person, but the country. “Donald Trump is going to be our President, and we owe him an open mind and the chance to lead.”

As of 12 pm, there was no winner called by the Associated Press for New Hampshire or Michigan.
