# TSG Elections 2016: Take TU

The Temple Student Government hopefuls have labeled themselves the "underdogs" of the [2016 TSG Election](https://templeupdate.com/tsg-2016-election-season-underway/). The team is made up of Tina Ngo, running for Student-Body President, Jared Dobkin, Vice President of Services and Isabella Jayme, Vice President of External Affairs. "I think a lot of people are surprised that we're even running," said Ngo. The group has carried out what they call an intersectional feminist campaign. They hope to create a sexual assault and dating violence center on campus and would like to implement comprehensive rape culture and healthy relationship workshops on campus. "As someone who believes that power is with the people and power's with the students and the workers," said Jayme. "I definitely wanted to be a part of making sure that all voices are heard." The team has been thoroughly dissatisfied with Temple's plan to create a stadium on campus, and would therefore like to establish TSG voting rights on Temple's Board of Trustees. The candidates have all been activists on behalf of the North Philadelphia community with the Stadium Stompers. "I think it's completely absurd to force a stadium on people who do not want it," said Dobkin. "TSG is very complicit in what the administration wants to see out of this institution." Take TU hopes to bridge the gap between high school and college, especially for students in Philadelphia schools.
