WATCH: Sanders Supporters Ready To Rally

Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders is making a visit right here on Temple’s campus.

Sanders’ rally brought out supporters that began lining up as early as 6:30 AM in front of the Liacouras Center. The line to get into the rally stretched all the way from the front of Liacouras to Girard and Broad St.

Sanders’ supporters ranged from moms who found baby-sitters in order to be apart of the movement for the majority of the day, to high school students such as Cieran Rosch who called this a senior-skip day.

“I think if it’s not Bernie, I’m definitely going to Europe (for school). But if he’s President, I don’t know, I might stick around.”

Supporter Josh Levin who traveled from New Jersey emphasized the important role young voters will play in this year’s Primary Election.

“We are the future of politics. The fact that the future of politics supports Bernie Sanders says it all right there.”

Some students, in particular, are in support of Sanders’ inclusive campaign and say they love that he is trying to bring people together. Rally-goers showed their support through paraphernalia that included signs, buttons, shirts that bore Sanders’ face, and one even wore a paper mache Bernie head.

Doors of the Liacouras center opened at 5pm, and the rally is set to begin at 8pm tonight.
