Blanca Fernandez finished her amazing season in Louisville, Kentucky finishing 29th out of a field of 254, placing in the top 30 with a time of 20:20:7. The top 40 received All-American Honors by the USTFCCCA.
Even though she came into the race as the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Champion, and was undefeated in six races, she wasn’t able to keep up with the pack, but did stay within striking distance.
‘Nonetheless, it has been an amazing season for Fernandez who has already earned two All-American Second Team Honors, and becoming Temple’s first female representative in the NCAA Championships in 28 years.
