Students had an opportunity to get a sneak peak at both the Men’s and Women’s basketball teams during Cherry and White Night.
A newly renovated McGonigle Hall gym housed over a thousand Temple fans for a night of action-packed fun. Some even got to participate in drills led by Head Coaches Fran Dunphy and Tanya Cardoza.
Others competed in activities such as dance-offs to go home with free Temple gear.
Ben Cathcart, Treasurer of the Cherry Crusade, has high expectations for Temple Basketball this season.
“I can’t tell you the last time I’ve been this excited for any…any sport,” said Cathcart. “Especially at Temple, just the anticipation and especially after last season, I know that they’re ‘gonna’ have…just…they’re going to want to fight so hard to just prove everybody wrong about last year. Last year was a fluke and we know and they know that they compete at a level that will crack national top twenty five.”
Shannon Reinmiller was happy to show off her dance moves in order to go out, have fun, and bring home some free gear.
“I loved it, it was a lot of fun, it’s nice to get to go out and I love to dance,” said Reinmiller.
