Temple was scheduled to open their Big East schedule Friday in Norfolk, VA against #15 ranked Old Dominion, but the game has been postponed due to inclement weather.
The game originally was moved from 3 p.m. up to noon, but it was then decided that the weather would just be too bad for the teams to get the game in. A rescheduled date has not been announced.
The Owls (3-7) will now return home for their next game on Sunday as they take on #12 ranked Liberty University in their annual Play 4 The Cure game.
Temple is looking to snap a three-game losing streak and they are coming off of back-to-back 4-3 losses in which they faced multi-goal deficits and fought back both times, but were unable to tie the score in either game.
The Owls are led by senior forward Alyssa Delp who has a team leading nine goals this season and she has scored on penalty strokes in each of the last two games.
As for Liberty, they come into Sunday’s matchup ranked #12 in the country with a record of 6-3. They are coming off of a 3-2 loss in double overtime to #11 ranked Boston College. Boston College scored the game winner in the 90th minute of that came off of a penalty corner.
The Flames are led by senior forward Natalie Barr who has recorded nine goals this season.
Fans attending the game are encouraged to wear pink in support of breast cancer awareness.
