Fran Dunphy has been involved in the Big 5 for six decades, and as a result earned the stats to deem him most winningest coach.
The Big 5, a group of NCAA Division I basketball schools, compete for the Philadelphia city championship. These schools represent some of the oldest, most successful, and most well-known programs in the nation. Four of the five teams are in the top 40 for all-time Division I basketball victories.
Fran humbly discusses how he hopes “to honor [his] profession each and everyday.” What Dunphy values the bonds he has formed with the players and those he has established relationships almost more than the wins themselves.
