Men’s Basketball Media Day

Men’s basketball is coming off their worst season in program history, failing to reach ten wins. Once again head coach Fran Dunphy will have a squad filled with youth, especially with the departure of senior SG Dalton Pepper and a transferring Anthony Lee. Despite the exit of some top scorers, the Owls have been able to mature into a more experienced team.

The additions of freshman Obi Enechionyia and junior transfer, Jaylen Bond, Fran Dunphy hopes to start off the new season with a bang.

Bond, the former Texas forward, is more than eager to play after having to sit out last season according to NCAA transfer rules. The Philadelphia native is happy to return home and is looking to make an impact down-low.

Enechionyia, the only freshman on the roster is ready to prove he has what it takes. The 6’8″, Top 100 prospect is hitting the weight room to prepare for the upcoming season.

As a junior at St. James High School, Enechionyia averaged 19.4 points, 12.7 rebounds and four blocked shots per game.

With the addition of former alum Aaron McKie coaching along side Dunphy this year, the Owls are in good hands as they head into their first game of the season on November 4th.
