After a long anticipated wait, Nordstrom Rack has finally opened on 1700 Chestnut St. in the heart of Center City, Philadelphia. Customers are treated to high end designers clothing, apparel, jewelry, and shoes for a discount price. The store opened in October and took the place of Daffy’s.
Nordstrom Rack is the off-price retail division of Nordstrom Inc. where customers can experience everyday savings from 30-70% off. Nordstrom Rack also includes merchandise from Nordstrom Inc. as well as many top brand names. Near its 1700 Chestnut St. location, you can find many fashion retailers including H&M, Express and the newly opened Uni-Qlo.
The 39,000 square foot retail area has three floors, restrooms and four elevators.
The Chestnut St. location will be the company’s first Philadelphia location. The company has Nordstrom Inc. stores in nearby Cherry Hill, NJ as well as the King of Prussia Mall and Willow Grove Mall.

Founded in 1901 as a shoe store in Seattle, Nordstrom now operates 252 stores in 34 states, including 117 full-line stores, 132 Nordstrom Racks, two Jeffrey boutiques and one clearance store. The company also serves customers through nordstrom.com and its catalogs.
