Temple Students are preparing for a busy week ahead as the fall semester is coming to an end.
The official last day of classes of the semester is December 5th, with University-wide study days being held on the 6th and 7th of this month. As temple students are preparing for a busy week ahead, Temple Owl and Senior Jada Wilson gives an insight into what finals are like for her as a commuter.
“I always find this the most stressful time of the year. As a commuter, I’m more on camps just because it is easier to focus here,” says Wilson.
As students like Wilson visit campus more often, organizations and departments throughout the University are holding events to offer students opportunities to take time away from their studies and find moments of relaxation.
The College of Public Health held a coffee and cookie study hour on Tuesday for those looking for a change of scenery as they study. Some organizations took a different approach, with the Muslim Student Association holding a dinner and destress event on Tuesday as well. There, students were encouraged to paint and play board games with one another while enjoying a free halal meal provided by Al-Salaam Grill.
However, some students, like Wilson, are getting using the excitement of winter break as a motivation to get through finals week.
“You know it’s stressful, but it’s coming to an end, and we’re almost on winter break, so that is just what I am looking forward to.”
From all of us at Temple Update, good luck with finals, Owls!
