Phillies Fans Opening Day Excitement

Phillies fans have gone over five months without baseball and the 2025 Opening Day has finally come.

“I’m so excited, I’ve been waiting all year so I’m very excited for it to finally happen,” Phillies fan Abby Sammons says.

“I’m very excited for the Phillies season,” Phillies fan Billy Clough said.

“I’m super excited for it, it’s gonna be a good game I can tell,” said Phillies fan Sidd Jaggi.

People plan on watching Opening Day from a variety of different locations.

“I’ll probably watch at my dorm or a frat house,” Clough says.

“I’ll probably watch in Maxis or at my house,” Phillies fan Ella Colarossi says.

“I’ll be at Maxis where all of the deals are, make sure you pull through,” Phillies fan Kaylie Joyce said.

Maxis is a short walk for most Temple students – where they will have an $8 chicken tender deal during the 4:05 game time along with other drink specials.

Fans can watch Opening Day at Maxis on Liacouras Walk – or even make their way down Broad to places like Santucci’s.

“I’m either gonna be watching here at Santucci’s or probably just at home,” Jaggi said.

Friends can come to Santuccis to enjoy Phillies Opening Day to eat, drink, socialize, and even get in a game of pool.

“Look, if you are looking for a great time to cheer on the Phillies this is a great spot, it is so close to Temple, we love Temple, Joe went to Temple, we have great specials on food and then great specials at the bar as well,” Santuccis President Tracey Cardella said.

“I’m so excited for opening day and I’m so excited to come here with everyone just like I do for the Eagles and to keep the same energy for the Phillies,” Phillies fan Mya Barna said.
