Temple University President Neil Theobald announced in a personnel email Tuesday evening that Provost and Executive Vice President Hai-Lung Dai has been relieved of all administrative duties effective immediately.
The email provided no reason as to why Dr. Dai’s position was terminated.
Dr. Dai came to Temple University in 2007, acting as dean of the College of Science and Technology. Despite the news that he has been relieved of his duties as Provost, the email noted Dr. Dai will remain on staff.
A successor is to be named in the near future.
This is a developing story and we will continue to update this article as more information becomes available.
