A junior at Temple University, Nick Aninsman, saw students at Duckrey Tanner School playing basketball on unsafe and incomplete courts – he decided to take action and raise money to renovate them to regulatory standards.
He took to crowdfunding on Go Fund Me with an initial goal of $120 “to just renovate the nets and put two rims up.”
By the next morning, over $1,700 had been donated to support the students at the school. The Temple student worked with the principal of the school to install the nets and rims.
He even brought the Temple Men’s Basketball Team to break in the new equipment. The community members thanked him graciously for putting his time into improving the area for their children.
Aninsman’s GoFundMe.com has over $1,700 donated out of a $2,500, you can donate here.
