Temple took on the UCF Knights Sunday afternoon, falling to a score of 2-0. The Owls record now stands at 3-13 with a 0-6 conference record.
Both teams came out quick in the first half trading opportunites. Each goalies had the answer untill the 35th minute where UCFs’ Carlin Huegli headed the ball past Jordan Nash.
In the second half UCF added to their lead in the 65th minute on another header by Carol Rodrigues. UCF would keep the 2-0 lead to rest of the game.
Temple finished the game with eight shots, and four of them hitting the target. The Owls had six corner kick opportunities to UCFs’ three.
Temple goalie Jordan Nash stopped four of six shot that were on target. She is six away from reaching 100 saves.
Saturday October 22, Temple celebrates Senior Day as they take on UConn, kickoff is set for 1pm.
