Remember seeing shorts and t-shirts on campus?
Well, say goodbye as winter is just around the corner, and temperatures have dropped on campus, making it feel like it’s already here.
Students traded the shorts and T-shirts they were wearing just a few weeks ago for coats and earmuffs. For Chase Ferry, the change was unexpected.
“I left for break, it was fine. I came back from break, it was like 30 degrees. Not feeling it,” said Ferry.
Other students have started to change their schedules before even leaving the house.
“I always leave the house with a puffer and have to keep my ears warm, so whether that’s a scarf or earmuffs, I’ve got them on under this,” said Parita Phon-amnuaisuk.
And for Kristia Nicolaudio, moving across the world means leaving the warm weather and summer fashion of Cyprus.
“I’m trying to look cute sometimes, but I have to wear all of these things, like a jacket and a hoodie,” said Nicolaudio.
“The days are getting shorter, and the temperatures are getting colder. Businesses like the Saxbys behind me are changing their menus for the holiday season.”
Julianne Kotch, a cashier at Saxbys, notices a difference in orders every time it gets colder.
“Everyone is getting cappuccinos, lattes, all hot stuff. And we have our holiday drink right now, the dark chocolate peppermint mocha, so everyone wants that.”
