Temple University Provost Gregory Mandel Steps Down

Temple University Provost Gregory Mandel announced in an email that he is stepping down from his position. The email said that he will return to the Beasley School of Law as a professor.

John Fry also sent out an email where he said that after stepping down as provost, Mandel will also serve as the senior advisor to the president.

Klein College’s Dean David Boardman will serve as the interim provost for the fall. Boardman will continue to serve as Klein’s dean in addition to being the interim provost. He added that he would not be a candidate for the permanent position.

Dean Deborah Cai will be the new Acting Dean of Klein College of Media and Communication. Klein’s current Dean, David Boardman, will be stepping away from the role while he fills the role of Interim Provost for the university. In a letter to the Klein community, Boardman said he plans to return to his position as Dean by July 2026.
