Tulsa, Oklahoma — Temple was riding high until they traveled to Dallas to face off against SMU and lost in a sweep on Friday night. This loss ended a four game win streak and handed Temple their first loss in conference play. Against Tulsa on Sunday afternoon, it was a different story, as they won the match three sets to one.

Tulsa kept up in the first two sets, losing by seven in the first set and winning the second one by two points. In the third and fourth, however, they could not keep up as Temple won by an average of 11 points per set.

Sandra Sydlik was back in her assisting form with 49 total assists, 12.25 per set. Irem Asci had 13 kills, 10 digs, and an ace. Izzy Rapacz contributed 12 kills.

Defensively, Janine Simmons and Kirsten Overton helped keep Tulsa off of the board, combining for 16 blocks.

Temple heads down to Connecticut this Wednesday to take on the UConn Huskies. UConn is currently 7-10 overall and just 1-5 in conference play. They are coming off of a sweep loss handed to them from SMU and are looking to bounce back. Temple will have to be on their toes.
