The women’s basketball team took on the Auburn Tigers in Mcgonigle Hall on November 16. The owls took the win 78-74 and stay undefeated 3-0.
Tyonna Williams led off the game scoring the first points for the owls, but missed shots and several turnovers did not keep the owls up by the end of the first half. The score was 44-32, Auburn.
In the second half, the owls turned it around, closing the 12-point gap with back to back 3 pointers. But the game turned into a nail-biter as Auburn trailed by 2 in the last minutes of the game.
The winning shot was secured by freshman Feyonda Fitzgerald, who scored a 3 pointer.
