Temple received a shoutout of sorts at the 2015 Grammy Awards. Philly native John Coltrane produced the album Offering: Live at Temple University back in 1966 in Mitten Hall. The release of this never before issued album by New York University music historian Ashley Kahn lead to her win in the Liner Notes category.
Kahn later told Philly.com that she dedicated her award to Coltrane’s wife, Alice Coltrane.
