In the days following the attacks on Brussels, Belgium, stepped up security could be felt around Philadelphia.

Increased presence from the Department of Homeland Security and transit police could be felt at all of the city’s transportation hubs. K-9 units sniffed luggage at 30th St. Station. Armed agents patrolled the station.

Some travelers we spoke to were O.K. with the higher police presence – if it means keeping them safe. Others had not even noticed it.

Back on Temple’s campus, everything was business as usual – with students carrying about their days normally.

Temple University officials said there are no students from the university studying abroad in Belgium this semester.

There is no word on any other impact the attacks have had on the Temple community.
