City Officials Encourage Businesses to Participate in PPE Supply

The Philadelphia Department of Public Health has announced an additional 141 confirmed cases of COVID-19. This brings the total number of confirmed cases to 30,354.

There have been no additional fatalities in Philadelphia today, according to the Department of Public Health. However, the total number of deaths has decreased by one due to data reconciliation, bringing the total to 1,690.

Since the COVID-19 outbreak, the City of Philadelphia has been working hard to provide enough Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for Philadelphians.

To ensure the city maintains a more adequate supply going forward, the City is offering an opportunity for vendors who supply PPE to compete on an Invitation For Bid (IFB). The IFB will be posted on the City’s contracts hub on Monday, August 3.

Vendors will need to be registered on PHLContracts to respond to be eligible. Any interested vendors can find more information on how to become a vendor with the City of Philadelphia and begin the registration process now.
